Acorn International's Atma Khalsa will be speaking at the 2nd Liberian Mining, Energy & Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (LIMEP 2013) in Monrovia, Republic of Liberia from April 9-11.
The event will focus on Liberia’s mining, energy and petroleum potential as well as sustainable development in the energy and O&G sectors. The theme of LIMEP 2013 is: "Equitable and optimal exploitation of Liberia's natural resources to underpin broad-based sustainable growth and socio-economic development."
During the official opening ceremony on April 9, a keynote welcome speech will be given by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia. Other speakers include a representative from the African Development Bank, the Liberian Minister of Lands, Mines and Energy, and the President of the Natural Resources Development Corporation.
Mr. Khalsa will be speaking in the final session of the conference, entitled Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and Socio-Economic Development. He will address the topic of "Creating an Enabling Environment: Leveraging Natural Resource Development for Sustainable Growth."
